The Right Light For Bright Growing

If you are moving your garden from outdoors to indoors then you need to rethink your entire growing philosophy. While the principles of water, nutrients and light remain the same for growing any type of indoor plant, the sources of those core elements will be wildly different especially when it comes to delivery systems. The biggest change you’ll discover with indoor growing will be that light source. Although you’ll have some options with regard to grow lights to pick from, many successful indoor growers attest to the benefits of LED grow lights as the most productive way to yield a large crop.

LED stands for “light emitting diode”. What that actually means is that an electric current rides through various semi-conducting alloys that in turn produce electrons which make photons. These photons are the fragments of light you see produced by LED grow lights. With today’s sophisticated manufacturing technology the costs for LED grow lights has been sharply reduced. Now more and more savvy growers are turning to LED to provide their plants with an exclusive source of light. Keep in mind that with LED grow lights you’re not just getting the benefit of white light but also blue and red.

To understand the amazing benefits of LED grow lights you should understand some of the basic biology around plant growth. Most of the earth’s vegetation gets its light source from that big ball of energy in the sky, the sun. However, plants only need a small fraction of the entire spectrum of electromagnetic light that the sun radiates down upon the planet. When a grower can focus those specific wavelengths as they can with LED grow lights then they are essentially flushing out the waste and letting the plants thrive on a direct source. The process by which a plant converts light into carbon dioxide is called photosynthesis. Without that, there is not flora and fauna.

Red LED grow lights were first introduced in the indoor growing field back in the 60’s. Then it was discovered that the red lights were perfect for stimulating the bloom on a plant. Blue light came along around ten years later and was found to be a great benefit with the leafy variety of plants. Working in combination in grow lights these two forms of LED pack quite the punch!

Another reason why many indoor growers are switching over their old grow lights for new and improved LED grow lights is because the LEDs are more durable and last longer. Even with those qualities, the LED grow lights actually operate on less power than the traditional type of grow lights. This means less heat is generated and lower energy is expended. That’s a major plus for indoor growers. If you’re serious about bringing in a bountiful harvest of indoor plants then you need to be using the right equipment. LED grow lights could be just the light source you’re looking for.

What Will Be Obsolete Next?

Things are coming out so fast these days that they become obsolete the moment you bring them home. It seems we are always upgrading and improving technology and all their accessories. It is almost impossible to keep up with this ever growing field especially in the music division. There once was a time when all you needed to listen to your music was a turntable and a record. Back then you were considered ‘boss’ if you had the 45 adapter.

Time goes on and things evolve into more practical objects, so then appeared the eight track cassette player, which was wonderful to drive around in your car and listen to the Fifth Dimension sing about their beautiful balloon. But as the eighties grew near people decided they wanted to listen to their tunes while walking, so the walkman was invented. This at the time seemed like the best of the best. Not only could you run around with your new Cars tape playing, but you could make a mixed tape and listen to all your favorite songs in a row. Or if you were the romantic type you would stay up all night and make that perfect mixed tape for you new crush.

But low and behold this wasn’t the epitome of excellence because as the 90’S appeared on the horizon so did the compact disc. This virtually indestructible disk had a higher resolution which gave the listener a more intense musical experience. Plus you could hit a number and play whatever song you desired without having to fast-forward or rewind the entire tape.

But wait that was not the bee’s knees that everyone thought it was. As the millennium closed the iPod appeared. With this device you could download all your music and have every song on one little portable device. Of course in the last decade engineers have improved on the iPod and added lots of extras.

Now they have added a phone to go with the iPod, or is it the other way around? Either way it still seems that as soon as you get the iphone 3g and a few iphone 3gs cases for decoration, you need to upgrade. Sure enough they went and added a computer to all of it and in one bundle you have the ipod 4g with more ipod 4g cases and accessories than anyone in the seventies could have ever dreamed of.

It might seem that we are at out zenith with our ipod 4g’s and those new silicone ipod 4g cases, but imagine what we will be listening to in the year 2020 or what about 2050? Those iphone 3gs cases will be in some museum of retro objects of the past, probably right next to a shag green carpet.

Google to replace credit cards with Google Wallet

Google has developed an application which could revolutionize the way we shop. No need of taking out and signing credit card slips, all you need to do is tap the phone at the register and you are done!

At present the free Google app runs only on Sprint’s Google Nexus S phone which uses Google’s Andriod software since it is one of the very few phones equipped with a special Near Fields Communication (NFC) chip which is required for Google Wallet. In future the feature will be available in many other phones.

The Mastercard network has NFC readers installed with over 150,000 merchants nationwide such as as New York City taxis, Sports Authority, Foot Locker and many more and are hoping to add Bloomingdale’s, Subway and Macy’s in the near future. Google has future plans to tie up with Mastercard to combine the two services.

With Google Wallet, you tap your phone instead of swiping the credit card. The phone acts as the credit card. At the moment the only card Wallet can impersonate is the Citibank Mastercard but Google is confident that in the near future more credit card companies and banks will work together with Google Wallet.

Fours Things to Avoid So Your Twitter Account Isn’t Closed

You’ve been having a great run so far with your Twitter marketing campaign, but what if your account were shut down, right out of the blue, and with no prior warning? Yikes! Such circumstances certainly spell terrible news, yet they are still an all-too-familiar experience for a growing number of Twitter users, and most especially among the marketing set. The niceties and not-so-niceties of this profession are fraught with particularly explosive components in terms of things that can catch the gaze of alert, eagle-eyed censoring/quality-control authorities. Start up your creativity so that you can continue to make use of these components, but in ways that will not get you in trouble.

More specifically, the accounts of marketers are more prone to being closed because they are the group of individuals most likely to do such thing as: (1) post duplicate updates, (2) put up links with no additional (personal) information, and (3) start following or unfollowing at massive paces. A fourth tweeting behavior that will get you in trouble (read: get your account suspended) is not abiding by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act — but the perils of this last faux pas are more equitably distributed among the Twitter populations. Either way, you don’t want to be caught violating any part of this long treatise that was ever so neatly typed up back in the depths of 1998.

So what is it about marketers’ profession that sets them up so patly for a censoring spree from the powers-that-be of internet sociability? For starters, it’s that singular profession’s demands for massive outreach. Staying truly connected is tough, everybody knows that, but marketers don’t just want to connect with loads of people — marketers also want to engage these people in ways that make them willing to spend money or effort on the cause the marketer is most currently championing. It’s certainly a tough order, but these are not folks who easily back away from a challenge.

If you’re in marketing, use Twitter, and don’t want to end up with a lost account, keep in mind the four points made above. You’re ingenuity is the limit when it comes to social media outreach, but don’t overstep any legally established lines.

Los Angeles Computer Networking For Your Company

The amount of internet technology that is present in today’s society is honestly astounding. One of the biggest emerging fields of the past decade is IT consulting, the practice of hiring companies to come into your own company to perform tech related jobs while not actually hiring and managing them for full time positions. Los Angeles IT consulting is one of the biggest hot spots for this type of trade, as is any big city. There are large numbers of companies that need network support Orange County but fortunately there are a number of great companies that would love to come to the rescue.

There are lots of different jobs around the office that an IT consultant might be able to assist with. One example is making sure the computer network in the office is both secure and working. This helps for inter-office communication and functions such as printing and sharing files.

Some IT companies even have a web design section and are available to create graphics, logos, web pages, web systems, and newsletter applications for your company. Not only do IT consultants help with in-office activities, they have a great deal of impact on the marketing of a company as well.

If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area you might try a Google search of “Los Angeles computer networking” to see what companies are available in your area. There is a good chance that they will all have multiple ratings that will assist your company in your choice.
